IPL media rights include broadcast services and live streaming of matches for viewers. Disney Star once again acquired the IPL broadcast rights for the next five-year cycle (2023-2027) for INR 23.575 million ($57.5 million/game), while Viacom18 signed the digital rights for INR 23.578 million.
Interestingly, Disney Star retained the broadcast rights, but Viacom18 passed on to former Disney Plus player Hotstar and took control of all digital rights.
