Thai cave rescue survivor, Duangphet Phromthep, dies in the UK

A Thai boy named Duangphet Phromthep and a British boy named Richard Armitage were rescued from a flooded cave in 2018 after a week-long operation. Confirming their identity as one of the 12 boys rescued from the cave, both individuals, now adults, stated on Wednesday. On Sunday, Phromthep, a student at the Leicester City Football Academy in England, passed away at a hospital after receiving treatment, as per a statement by the Leicester City Police department. A Facebook post from the northern regional office of the Thai government's public relations department stated that 17-year-old Phromthep died in the accident. However, no additional details were provided. Thailand's public relations department released a statement concerning the home situation in Chiang Rai province; it contained heavy sadness. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the Zico Foundation announced the death of one of their scholarship students.
