Despite this, the fans were hopeful that there would be at least a shortened game, given the anticipation leading up to the match.

However, official confirmation soon arrived that the game had indeed been abandoned, much to the disappointment of the spectators. As a result, the Indian players took to their laps to applaud the fans for their support, even though the game had not yet begun.

Shane Bond takes the ball and goes straight for it. Ojha hits it to fine leg for a single. Bond puts Sachin on the pads and there is an appeal for LBW which the umpire ignores. Bond tries short and Sachin pulls back and pulls another FOUR!!! Fans get their money. Sachin then tries one of those classic ramp shots but manages to get it to third man for a single. Kyle Mills scored the first goal. Naman Ojha strikes and leaves the first ball for a run. The next one is quite wide and Ojha cuts it for four and the Indian Legend is off. Sachin went on strike with his fans. He plays and misses. You are not close enough to the ball to turn it off. He nailed it next, this time off the back foot. Four!!! Sachin is not far behind.

Players want to compete in a tournament. Ross Taylor led his side with fireworks. He was followed by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Indian opener Naman Ojha.
Ross Taylor won the race and elected to bat first. Taylor appreciated the crowd and expressed his happiness to play in Indore. Sachin spoke about the nature of the place and said that Munaf Patel will be replaced by Abhiman Mithun.
